Set on a lush 64-hectare polo estate, Meliá Desert Palm is a tranquil boutique oasis just 20 minutes from Downtown Dubai. It features premium private pool villas, equestrian facilities, and a refined spa, making it ideal for a quiet retreat. However, guests should carefully choose room categories, as older villas show signs of wear.

Rixos Downtown Antalya is a centrally located urban resort praised for warm, attentive staff (many guests name employees), heated pools and sweeping sea–Taurus Mountain views. Reviews repeatedly note excellent entertainment, plentiful all‑inclusive options and easy access to the promenade and The Land of Legends; rooms are clean but somewhat dated and elevators can be slow.

Located in a quiet business district of Lisbon near Marquês de Pombal, Iberostar Selection Lisboa offers a contemporary stay featuring an outdoor pool and a highly praised breakfast. While the service is warm and attentive, guests should be prepared for unique design elements like semi-transparent bathrooms and daily booking requirements for the spa. It serves as an excellent, well-connected base for exploring the city, though it leans closer to a premium four-star experience than a true five-star luxury retreat.

Seaside 5-star Hyatt Regency in Ataköy praised for spacious sea-view rooms, large pools and an impressive breakfast buffet. Guests repeatedly single out reception staff (many by name) for exceptional service, though some note that parts of the property look dated and occasional maintenance issues occur.

Conrad Shanghai sits on Nanjing East Road with spectacular Bund and city views from high floors, roomy modern rooms and a standout breakfast. Guests repeatedly praise specific staff (Ivy, Freya, Leo, Jacky, Quain‑G) for warm, proactive service, though some reviewers note dated bathrooms, elevator waits at peak times and inconsistent housekeeping.
