Set in a restored historic han in Karaköy next to Galataport, JW Marriott Istanbul Bosphorus wins guests with attentive, often named staff, spacious public areas and a rooftop bar with sweeping Bosphorus and Galata Tower views. Reviews praise housekeeping, breakfast and concierge service; downsides are small or interior-facing rooms and occasional street/bar noise — request high-floor rooms for best views and quiet.

Enjoying a prime location near the Bosphorus Bridge in Ortaköy, this modern hotel features a spectacular rooftop restaurant with panoramic views. Guests praise the warm, professional hospitality and stylish rooms, though some note noise from nearby evening events.

Located directly on the historic Champs-Élysées, the Paris Marriott Champs Elysees Hotel offers immediate access to luxury shopping and iconic landmarks like the Arc de Triomphe. Despite its prestigious address and a beautiful glass-roofed atrium, guests frequently report highly inconsistent service, varying room standards, and steep pricing. It is a solid choice for brand loyalists prioritizing location, provided they manage expectations regarding room layouts and 5-star standards.

A lakeside boutique hotel in the tiny village of Durgerdam, De Durgerdam is praised for considered interiors, warm attentive staff and an outstanding restaurant (De Mark). Guests highlight peaceful waterside views, easy bike or taxi access to Amsterdam and rooms that feel like well‑appointed apartments — many return or extend stays. Occasional communication gaps (slow email/phone replies) are the main recurring friction.
