Set on the Golden Horn in a restored Ottoman shipyard, Rixos Tersane Istanbul is a new, stylish 5-star urban resort praised for its waterfront views, immaculate rooms and an exceptional breakfast spread. Guests repeatedly single out individual staff members (Sofia, Ibrahim, Pelin, Emirhan) for personalised service; minor issues reported are occasionally slow restaurant service and isolated deposit/refund disputes.

Located right on Taksim Square, Sofitel Istanbul Taksim offers a luxurious stay blending French elegance with Turkish hospitality. Guests love the spacious rooms, stunning Bosphorus views, and exceptional service from the housekeeping and dining staff. However, occasional front desk delays and minor spa maintenance issues keep it just shy of perfection.

Opened in mid-2024, Sofitel Shanghai North Bund blends modern French elegance with artful Chinese design in the Hongkou District. Guests love the spacious, photogenic rooms and the exceptional concierge service, though its location is somewhat removed from the main tourist hubs. Key amenities like the executive lounge are currently offline, making it best for travelers who prioritize design over club perks.

Its prime location in Beyoğlu places you just steps from the Galata Tower and transport links, though guests should watch out for potential basement room assignments.
